What is Skycoin?
Skycoin is a third generation cryptocurrency. It aims to be a complete ecoystem based on improvements to blockchain technology and has been in development since 2013. As expected from a coin trying to build the complete ecosystem envisioned, skycoin has many facets to its design. It has its own ICO platform called Fiber, a new decentralized approach to internet connectivity, their own programming language, a network that can support up to 300 free TPS, a decentralized messenger system and even a decentralized social media platform, safe to say, ambitious is an understatement when describing this project.
