What is Proto-Pecuni?

This looming "Quantumpocalypse" (or Q-Day) threatens not only the financial and communication spheres but also critical physical systems like nuclear power plants and drones, which rely on encryption. Legacy blockchains employ asymmetric encryption, which is susceptible to quantum computers.
Symmetric® replaces this vulnerability with Shannon secure symmetric cryptography, protecting information and assets against all future advances in mathematics and computing power. Additionally, the integration of novel three-way homomorphic encryption technology will enhance online privacy by allowing computation on encrypted data with an encrypted algorithm. Symmetric® is based on 5 granted patents in encryption, blockchain, and homomorphic processing (with more are on the way).
The Pecuni® will be the native token of the Symmetric blockchain. It will have broad use cases including paying verifier nodes for transaction authentication, data storage, smart contract computation, and homomorphic encryption services. The Proto-Pecuni (PROTOP) is a utility token that will be exchanged for the Pecuni once the Symmetric blockchain is released. NFT’s, corporate blockchains, and many cryptocurrencies will be able to convert to a Symmetric foundation using the Pecuni® as the native gas. This will protect existing innovation from the Quantumpocalpyse.
In order to facilitate broad liquidity, PROTOP will be issued across multiple chains. As chains become tradeable, tokens will be burned keeping the total supply at 144M. PROTOP has been issued to team members on Polygon, which will not trade until after an ICO has been conducted.
