What is Mask Network?
Mask Network (MASK) is a social media encryption tool provided at no cost by software development company Dimension. By installing the Maskbook browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, iOS, or Android, users can integrate advanced encryption capabilities and add a dedicated Ethereum wallet directly to their Facebook or Twitter account, with the option to import an existing Metamask wallet for use across social media platforms. Maskbook automatically encrypts or decrypts social media posts or private messages by converting cleartext to ciphertext using a random AES key transferred using SECP256K1 cryptography standard. Mask Network plans to add support for additional social media platforms in the future. ERC-20 MASK utility token is used to incentive community governance. MASK holders are members of MaskDAO and earn one vote for each MASK held to be used for community votes on allocation of reserve funds and other decisions regarding changes to the platform.
