What is BitBay?
BitBay is a free, decentralized marketplace for trading goods and services through blockchain technology. It allows you to connect directly with peers and trade without the need for a costly middleman like Amazon or Ebay. These transactions are all secure and anonymous and funds are held in escrow before a trade is completed. Since the original technical foundations BitBay has continued to develop their platform, now boasting a litany of extra features such as atomic swaps, dynamic price pegging and double deposit escrow, just to name a few.
Despite the added features BitBay’s path was a rough one, and the coin found itself entangled in controversy when the founders left, using BitBay only as a cash grab. Despite this one brave soul, David Zimbeck, the lead developer, stayed and soldiered on, committing himself to doing what was right and tirelessly working on the project.
