What is LinkPool?
LPL is the ERC-20 utility token for LinkPool, a Chainlink node service provider with the goal of lowering the barrier of entry for staking on Chainlink nodes, allowing users to earn passive income via effortless, trustless staking while simplifying the technical requirements to run a Chainlink node and providing smart contract authors with tools to search and identify Chainlink nodes to suit their data requirement needs. LinkPool provides an easy to use and intuitive staking DApp, allowing pooled funds to be routed to multiple LinkPool strategies as determined by community governance. Chainlinks represent individual Ethereum contracts monitored by a Chainlink node for fetching and returning data. Chainlink defines “staking” as the node operator's ability to collateralize job requests in order to be eligible for jobs that require use of their node. The amount of LINK available for a user to stake is determined by the amount of LPL Allowance Tokens staked in LinkPool contracts or by the amount of linkLPLA the user borrows from LinkPool allowance lending contract.
